Keep Yourself Safe When at Home
It is not necessary that burglary will take place only at those houses where the owners were away, there have been many instances where even the occupied houses have been burgled many times. It has become mandatory to keep oneself safe even when at home from such instances being happening.
Never ever allow a stranger inside your house. This is applicable for anyone, even it may be kids. Even when you are trying to accept a package, try to do it in the entrance itself rather than letting someone in. Install a chain in the door to make yourself safe from strangers being entering your house. If someone asks to use your phone for emergency even then you make the call rather than letting them inside to make the calls. If it is even a bigger emergency call 911.
Keep your keys in a safe place which will known only to you, so that when someone enters forcefully they should be having tough time finding the keys.
Always keep the doors and windows in a locked stated even when you home.
Don’t keep valuables in a visible place, always keep it in bank safes or the safes in your home.
